Default The Motul 600 well dried up, cost increase also

I got informed today by our major supplier that Motul 600 is sold out across the country. I have a half case left that I paid 6 dollars a bottle more then what I have in the past. But I had to take care of the customer! Well after the restocking, the grapevine told me that the price was going up to 19.95 a bottle retail. Which is a 4 dollar increase overnight. I hate this little supply and demand game and start looking for something better to supply customers with. After a few days of looking and reading about the million of different companies and specs. I have made up my mind on the next option that you racers can choose from.

Here is all the data and fun facts that keeps a racer up at night thinking about. Sorry that I copied and pasted this. I have to make one more phone call for exact bottle and case pricing.

Low Compressibility Formula Exclusively for Racing Applications

Brembo LCF 600 plus Brake Fluid has been formulated to provide the highest performance in all racing conditions and has an independently proven low compressibility at high temperatures. Exceeding the requirements of U.S. FMVSS 116 DOT4 specifications, the Brembo fluid also resists boiling at higher temperatures (both wet and dry) over other race fluids.

500ml bottle
Typical dry boiling point 601°F
Typical wet boiling point 399°F
Mixes safely with DOT3, DO4 and DOT5.1 racing brake fluids
Not suitable for use in brake systems containing magnesium parts

Thanks racers

Randy,

Ever since I began racing I have used Wilwood EXP 600. Nobody ever seems to talk about this stuff but I have NEVER had a fluid issue and never had a problem getting it. US company to boot!

better than Motul by a long mile. SRF is the best and cheapest per mile

Bummer I only have one bottle of the Motul 600 left. Good stuff and a great price, it was. Thanks for the heads up on it's replacement!

I was told something about this from Pegasus Racing this spring. I tried to order a few bottles and was told about the shortage. I did manage to find some from HMS though.

$19.95 for a 500ML bottle. I can do a little better if you order a 1/2 case or a case.

Why doesn't Castrol package SRF in SMALLER BOTTLES???

I just ordered a case of Motul from another vendor two weeks ago and when it's gone, I'll likely have to swap to something else... But cracking open a new Bottle of Castrol to bleed the brakes before each track weekend just isn't practicle... $75 for about 3oz used!

Take a look at Quadriga Motorsports (Formerly ProSpeed) GS610, sourced from ogracing.com. Great price and great fluid.
