Default Store rotors vertical or flat ??

I saw the post that NAPA had raised their prices on rotors. I cleaned out my local store and the warehouse that supplies it. Got two complete sets and one more set of fronts. They will last me the rest of this year and probably all next year. The question is = How do I store them ?? Lay them flat or stand them on edge ?? I do not want to end up with warped rotors. Your advice appreciated. Thanks !

steel isn't fluid at room temp, so it shouldn't matter. However, if you are really anxious about it I would store them stacked flat on top of each other.

If your wife doesn't mind - store them in your refrigerator freezer so you can use them as cryogenic treated rotors

Well Mike -- I don't know about your wife, but if I tried that there would be hell to pay ! Somehow, I don't think that would be quite cold enough to do much good.

try to keep them dry - but even if they get rusty they are fine to use.

They stack better in the horizontal plane (I have had them 15 high or so) - but cast iron does not flatspot as noted by Dave...so orientation is irrelevant...

Send them over to my house, I'll keep them nice and tidy for you and they won't warp the way I store them.

Just call me when you need them back.
