Mid Ohio Update....Pictures and Video of cars and hotties
The weather was perfect on Saturday in TTA Dave Mullen went out on new 710s in the first session of the day and ran a blistering 1:35.2xx:eek5: Setting a new track record, unfortunately he went off track so his session didn't officially count for scoring. Later that Day the best Dave could do was a 1:36.0xx and I was right behind him with a 1:36.3xx, but I just didn't have enough to catch him.
On Sunday we went out on a wet track, I was able to lay down a 2:12.140 on my last lap. That put me 12 seconds ahead of Dave but the Evo factor came in to play and I sat in 2nd place because Greg was able to lay down a 2:12.102:pissed:
The second session was a wash out and I had nothing, Greg continued to do the rain dance but the track dried out for our third session and the Vettes again dominated. Dave took out his student and was able to run a 1:38.2xx and I was able to get my last lap clean and ran a 1:37.6xx. with Greg back in third where the Evo belongs.
Honestly if Dave didn't have a passenger he probably would have beat me. FYI I was running new tires for the first time this year, I decided to give Hankooks a try.

I'll post some video once I get it off the camera

That was the first session, the second session had water running across the straight before the key bhole and after the keyhole there was no way to safly put the power down, not on slicks anyways.
Here's a lap in the dry

The biggest difference I noticed was in the second session when I drove across the steams running across the track it would kick the car sideways, the first session the conditions were the same everywhere. I couldn't even accelerate down the straights

Yea.. I saw your front-straight slipping, and Popp looked the same way. THe Michelin Pilot street tires were on gave me no drama and I was loving it. Mid corner grip was high and straight line felt good.. I am guesing that was a lot of my comfort.
I know Danny was on the Hoosier DOT rains, and you said slicks, which tires were you on?
