Default Where can I autocross in SoCal in the next couple of weeks?

If you know of any auto-x events coming up, put on by any club as long as they let anyone run, please let me know. I prefer something in the LA area, but I'll drive a few hours if I have to.

Thanks a lot.

Yeah I saw that, it looked to be a very limited capacity event for outsiders, especially since it's a championship event. But if you know otherwise, please let me know. Thanks.

Not sure where you got that idea. The Saturday practice events are limited, but I have never seen someone get turned away on Sunday.

Do I already have to be a member of the SCCA or can I just show up and sign up on the spot? I'm getting some conflicting info on this. Thanks!

You do not need to be a SCCA member to participate. If you are going for points then you need to buy a CSCC Points card. Probably best to wait until this next year if you are going that route. The season last from Jan - Dec.

Practices are a first registered by getting a check in the mail and it to arrive before the limit is filled - first served most of the time depending on what club is organizing it.

So the check deal is only for the Saturday practice? On Sunday I can just show up in the morning, pay on the spot, and run?

I'm not interested in points or anything like that, just wanna get some runs in with my DSM before I sell it. See what all wheel drive can really do, and have something to compare the Vette to later.

Yes, if you show up on the day of a championship, either in the morning or around 11AM depending on what class you would be in you will get in. They split the day into different run group so you have to look at the schedule.

Back in the day I did just about every kind of racing available in my ole DSM! There was a big group of us that had a lot of fun with them...
