Looking for C5 Z06 set up for autox
We're thinking about a C5 Z06 for SS next year. Please PM me if you know of any 2002 or later deals out there.
Thanks
Jeff

Ted---
You giving up on the Z06 already-----
You posted like what 100 threads about the GT3 shouldn't be in SS, this car or that car shouldn't be in SS----
And now that you have a Z16 Z06-----are you getting out of the class ?
(just busting your *****)
(sorry for the hijack Mr. Cashmore)

What mods can you do to the car in SS?
I ran an event this weekend and they put me in ASP. 03 Z06: intake, tune, shifter, SS lines, and lowered on stock bolts. MX's 275/40/17 fronts 295/35/18 rears.
I can say one thing though this car has almost as much grip on street tires as my cobra had on the V710's. I love this car!!

Drifting
00BlkFRC:
At the risk of Jeff's e-mail now drifting, the intake, tune, shifter, and SS brake lines are all ASP mods.
Stock, in theory, is just that, with allowances for wear and tear and a few selected mods. Quick summary is: suspension - alignment/lowering within the design limits, different front sway bar/mounting, different shocks (mount to the factory location); brakes - alternate brake pads; wheels - original size (diameter and width) plus/minus 1/4" offset; exhaust - can be changed past the converter; tires - DOT tires (hence the V710s and A6s). Normal maintenance items like plugs and filters are free.
The above is a quick summary. You can find the SCCA rulebook online through their website. NCCC Group 1 has different allowances. If you run through a local organization, they probably use SCCA rules but may not exactly duplicate everything.

Thanks for the info. I am coming from a SM cobra and I don't want to go that far with a car again. I am looking for a simple cost effective setup that i can be competitive with. I know I want to do the T-1 bars for OT events so I guess I will look into what I can do and stay in ASP. Thanks for the avise.
