Here is one option for you:

http://performance.accuratetechnolog...be7c1a4556a540

The mounting kit attaches like a standard battery so it is very easy to go back if you ever need to. Since you already have the 680 battery, you can just buy the mounting kit alone (not shown on website). If interested call Mike Akerley at ATI 248-848-9200.

Thanks,
Bob

I put in an Odyssey 935 last year and bought the aluminum hold-down pictured here:
http://www.odysseybatteries.com/accessories.htm
I bought a spare battery tray from eklers for $11.00 and cut slots into the tray, used 5/16" steel bolts with fender bolt clips ... (that way I capture the nut and bolt in from the top ... I have pics at home ...

Hello,
Would you mind if I ask you how your Odyssey 680 battery is working out for you, as I'm wanting to put one in my of my C5's for weight savings.
Thanks, John Anderson

And it looks like this when you've installed it.

Default Some Installed Pics

Here's my pics:
Here you can see the slots I cut in the battery tray, with two fender clips showing and one with the 5/16" bolt screwed down.

Here's the battery hold-down bolted down on 4 corners ... have had no problems since Jul/06 - use the same battery tender plus on it that I used on my OEM Delco.
925MJT weighs 26 lbs - about 10 less than the stock.

I mounted mine behind the passenger seat back on the sheetmetal behind the seat. It was very easy to fab up a bracket using 3/4" x 1/8" Al flat bar.

The battery works well but needs to be charged or driven often or the battery goes dead. I don't start my car for weeks on end and usually it needs to be charged first. Then it works fine.

My column lock screwed up and cost $850 to fix and the Chey mechanic asked me if I had been charging my battery recently as part of his rather lengthly diagnosis. FWIW, I had been.

John,
Yep, we have a new release mechanism. We also now make the custom adapter piece in several lengths for improved driver comfort, depending on how close/far you like the steering wheel.

Please call Mike Akerley 248-848-9200 if interested.

Thanks,
Bob

I daily drive it when I want to or let it set for a week or two without starting it and it fires right up. The battery has been in a about a year now and I've had absolutely no problems. This car is my track car so it may get driven a bunch then left to sit for quite a while, that's usually tougher on a battery than daily driving. The battery shown is the Odyssey 925FMJ.

Thanks for the feedback. So the Odyssey 925FMJ fits in same ATI bracket? Does it have more cranking power than the 680 ATI sells in a kit?

Link to specs:
http://www.odysseyfactory.com/specs.htm
925 specs are 50% to 100% higher than 680

OOPS! He right it's MJT not FMJ. FMJ is what I run in my .45 auto

The 925 HCA@80 F is 625
The 680 HCA@80 F is 370

The 925 and 680 are different sizes and use different brackets. Both available from Odyssey.

The ATI setup with the Odessey battery is the best setup on the market IMHO.
