SCCA ProSolo Finale....Corvette overall victor
Congratulations to Mike "jr." Johnson for taking his ASP Corvette to the win in his class and then taking the overall victory in the "challenge".
The surface in Topeka still looks not to be Corvette friendly as Mike was bettered by SS and BSP with the Porsche's , and AWD rally cars superior forward bite. Regardless Mike took the BIG prize congratulations
I am not sure they sell BIG enough helmets for his head at this point He will be the new "Lord Helmutt".
He thanked Strano parts for some reason for his win....Not sure what that was all about.....RAFT built the car for another customer, and RAFT/Koni fixed the off the shelf from Strano built shocks that he bought. Most be some politics. Sam is a good guy and also won his class in a Moostang........(traitor).
Solo2 Nationals starts tuesday.....and I am still glad I am not there, although I'll miss the people.. If the place ever "cleans-up" and is good for high power , heavy, RWD cars I may rear my ugly head there again.....Looks like JR. could use the competition
Congrats Jr. ........Keep it up this week !!!!!
Good luck to all other Corvette competitors.. It wont be easy, but it can be done. Keep your head up, keep diggin' and for Christs sake , dont get in the sand

Obviously you don't know me. I'd love to run with Danny. If I remember correctly, the last time I ran with the RAFT racer, I beat him in a SS car as well, and that was at Forbes Field on concrete. I still think he's the man. You can drive my car any time Danny.

I have never been beaten by SS anywhere near as bad as you have this past weekend........ And if I remember correctly I was 2 seconds ahead of you as a total for that particular event.... and you were driving a Lotus on a Lotus course...
When you drive back to Cincy to have your "Strano Parts" Corvette fixed we can settle this for good....Just make sure that you win , so when I whoop your A## , I know where I would have stood
Seriously dude, pay attention to the task at hand, I know you you have a couple of days...but try and focus
Good Luck, Looks like you are to a start of a fine week !!!! Just dont let SS and BSP beat-up on you like that again

Congrats Junior!
BTW, everyone loves your announcing comments when you're on the mike!
The Pro courses were about as HP friendly as they could be. But the National layouts look like we're back to transitions and slaloms on the east (airport runway type of course) and a little bit of everything on the west. Here come the Elises!

Great driving by Jr. He did a nice burnout pulling the car into the final awards presentation too
Courses were fast, but very slick off line, with tough double 180's at the end. Best pro finale courses in a few years.

I ran the warmups yesterday which was basically the pro solo course with some changes, a kink at the start so no drag race start but even with that there was NO forward bite and I shifted to second almost immediatly. The AWD cars have a HUGE advantage at the pro. Harold Olsen will stay with the BSP Evo's better on the Nats AutoX courses. I sure would like to see dyno sheets on those things. They visably accelarate much quicker than anyhing else with doors.
