If you like heavier than 01-04 Z06 OEM clutch that STILL sticks to the floor, knock yourself out.......................I like removing wieght and NOT having "issues" myself..

Our has been great after about 25 track days with multiple drivers. Track usage is not at all hard on a clutch, assuming you don't drag the clutch when you downshift, so I don't think wear should be an issue. The C6 non-Z has a soft clutch at high rpms, but the Z06 has worked just fine.

I wouldn't know why the two (non-Z and Z ) are any different....The only difference in the whole assy's is the disc...flywheel and pressure plate are the same pieces.....

If you slip the clutch, mostly in a drag racing episode, the pedal may drop to the floor.
On the road course mine hasn't dropped once in over 25 days.

its just the heat!!!!!!!!! if you drive the car hard as hell and win the race the fricken clutch gets hot as hell and boils the fricken fluid and clutch stays on the floor i don't know which aftermarket clutch can prevent this since its not the clutch its the hydrolic system pushing the throw out bearing that fails, not the clutch. placing the slave on the drive shaft against the throw out bearing was crazy for heat absorption
i miss my steal cable on my old SS that sucker didn't care about heat! hehehe

My stock C5 clutch lasted about 33K when it started to come apart in pieces . Replaced it with the LS7 setup, have been on the track 4 times since .........no issues,

The other time was at the drag strip. Car was cool from sitting. On the 2nd pass the pedal dropped due to me slipping the clutch too much. There is no way the fluid boiled.
