Default Garage Make-over Almost Done!!!

So it finally got a professional painter's touch...

I'm jacked!!! I'll start getting stuff moved back in tomorrow afternoon and should get on the process of having the separate power service over the next couple of weeks!

Looks great! I'm jealous. Why only the single garage door? One day I really want a shop/garage with a lift and a couple of double doors!

The garage was on the property when I bought the place. Is what it is. I was planning on building another garage, but the cost vs. modifying this one to work with my lift was a significant difference... I can live with it... I have another garage where our daily drivers are parked...

Mike,
Looks really nice and bright. What are the floor dimensions? And have you used the wood stove enough to determine if it will heat the area adequately? What paint/covering did you use on the floor, and did it require any specific cleaning/prep? I am asking because I am looking at redoing my garage.
Thanks,
Ed

Mike,

Looks excellent! Way, WAY, too empty and clean!!! Mine is much more utilitarian (read cluttered and messy), and I really want to spruce things up. So I'll be lurking nearby.

Have a good one,
Mike

I used the woodstove last year with no problems. I'll raise the flu this year so it draws thru a little better... It's about 2ft. below the roofline right now, but I'm picking up a new section of pipe this weekend.

Behr brand is the flooring, from Homedepot and the painter was impressed with the product. I power washed the floor with their cleaner and he etched it, primed and then painted it.

The garage is 24X32 and is sufficient for doing the stuff I'm doing, but I'll be buying one of those pre-fabbed sheds in about a 20X24 size for the motorcycles, lawn junk and spares.

What lift are you using and how did you anchor it? Mike just noticed that you a rocks throw away.
