They have been selling them for quite some time now. Not sure if the spec changes every year or if the race teams simply don't want older tires. I bought a set last year and ran them this year some of the time. About $200/each. I got 295/660-18. They're slightly taller than the stock 295 GYs on the C5 Z06. And close in width to the 315 R6s.

Grip is pretty good, but not nearly as good as the R6. They do wear very well though. They are supposed to be an endurance tire with a harder compound. Just not sure how hard since they have no treadwear spec like the R6/A6. I think they're going to last almost as long as my Nitto R2s did.

Just a heads up.

The Rolex Series will be using Pirelli tires as their spec tire. That is why the Hoosiers are being sold to the public as a discontinued tire.

The Perelli tires are already 2-3 seconds faster than the spec hoosiers. With a spec tire, there is no compelling reason (or competition) to make a faster tire.

consistancy is more important.

Thanks

Yup...I ran them for a bit, but this year ran the R6's. The GT's last longer then the R6's, but the R6's have more initial grip. Unless you are throwing away R6's after 2-3 heat cycles, there is no major difference.
