Default Bearing problem?

copper colored Wilwood Caliper hot item! Actually they were black but when anodizing gets hot you get copper. Seals were still decent even after the heat when I rebuild them.

Bearing have about 600-800 miles on them

This was previous taper in 04 leftside bearing failed. Pads are sitting as you would view from passenger seat. There was no detectable bearing failure by feeling bearing with wheel on and checking for play. Even took wheel off and turned just the hub and it felt fine. LG said bearing going from looks of it. I said no play felt. Next event bearing failure Lou nailed that one!

New pads installed

John,
I get the same thing with my Wilwoods. Even after new bearings were installed the pads did the same thing. I usually swap from left to right side of the car to balance out the wear. The nice thing with the Wilwoods is that even though the pads taper the calipers are nowhere near as sensitive to taper as the OEM calipers.

I see you have done a few more HPDEs than I have as my calipers have gone from black to a sort of dark purple color Vs your purplish/pink color. A few more and mine will be that color also.

We have measured 3/8 of a inch at the wheel during hot race conditions. So down at the pad I would say about half that amount.

SO yes they do flex.
