C4 front bumper for road courses

Safety Car
Looks like an appearance add on and nothing more...
My comments based on a cursory look:
It's not low enough to deflect much air from underneath.
The mouth looks like it is smaller and converts the car to a front breather instead of a bottom breather. This probably means not enough flow to the radiator. Most C4 RR cars have some trouble cooling at the track and need more flow.
The little scoops on the side are too smooth and not prounounced enough to provide downforce...
But it looks pretty cool, and the side holes are probably nice for brake ducts.

Contact Bob Finlayson @ 630-844-0089 he has the molds for the Spectre Works C4 world challenge body kit nose splitter, doors, rear wing. I beleive it was designed in GM's wind tunnel. I have the nose & splitter see the link to a picture of my car. Picture isnt great but you can get an Idea of what it is

These are pure race parts I would not even think of suggesting it for the street. Give him a call.

Yes, you will notice a difference. I have the nose & splitter from Bob as mentioned above. These are real race parts not just for show. The car needs to have about 3/4" of rake for the splitter to be affective. I guess you could always shim it down at the front so you dont have an up swept splitter if you don't want to raise the rear & or lower the front. If you go with the front you will need something on the back. I have a 70 degree rear spoiler from a Greenwood drawing, (Was given to me) it is 2" with just the aluminum, then I can sandwich a 4" or 6" plexi between the 2 aluminum plates. The rear spoiler hurts top end without a doubt. Bob sells a rear wing also, that would probably hurt top end alot less, however it is $$$$$$ The biggest problem I have faced since September when I Installed everything is getting the balance of the car. I should mention even with the beavertail on my trailer it is interesting getting the car on the trailer . The splitter being only 2 3/4" from the ground & the distance from the splitter edge to the front tires is a little over 3 feet you are looking at 1" per foot rise this would require for me over 14 feet of ramps, therefore it is a job getting it on the trailer. Alot of wood blocks & stepping it up is required along with jacking the tongue of the trailer as hi as you you can get it so the splitter does not hit. This really is not a street set up. So if you drive your car on the street I think you would destroy it

I've seen where they use DZUS fastners to get a front piece with a splitter over the stock setup. It's only attached on the track, easily removed for getting it on the trailer. I don't know if it would work with that particular piece.

Your right DZUS fastners seems to be the way to go, the only draw back I see is disconnecting the 4 brake ducts & the AMB transponder each time.

Frank, thanks for the recomendation. I do have a ground affects kit for a C4. It was designed by Jeff Nowicki of Specter works when he was running in World Challenge. It was tested in the GM wind tunnel. I have been working on a website but it is not complete yet. It is up though, the address is www.performanceafx.com Go to the cars for sale section and you can see pictures of my car with the whole kit on it.
As Frank mentioned, this is real racecar stuff, it will never survive on the street. You are welcome to try it though. It is more difficult to load on the trailer as well. I made a 6 foot extension ramp and use a 2 x 10 to get the car on the trailer.
If anyone is interested, you can contact me at 630-844-0089.
Thanks
