Default Going Class III per NCCC Rules

I have a 2007 vert and as my car is set up it looks as if I'll be in class III.
With this said I'm looking for a roll bar that will qualify for both low and high speed events. Anyone with info and pics of this setup please chime in. BTW.... it must be removable as this is still a street car too.

Thanks in advance.

What are your Mods,Engine, suspension, brakes etc. If you fall into group IIIM, you will need to have a rear 4 point roll bar. If you want to run RP you have to have a front brace as well. Like one from the top center of rear bar down to passenger side floor.

I would ask around your area for someone that can do cage work. My brother Mike Quine is a member of CCI (Corvette Club Of Iowa) out of Des Moine area. Look them up on the web for his contact info as he may be able to help.

If you were here in Ohio I could think of a few C2,3,4,5,6 racer/builder guys you could send it too. If you are really interested in coming our way, I can PM you their info.

Aaron-
Thanks for the reply! I've looked over the rule book in detail and it says class III front OR rear support. Both is required in RP and above.
I'm a member of CCI but not all that long and don't know alot of the members yet. I have made it to 3 diferent events this last summer and met alot of pepole but don't have the names down yet.
Does you brother do this kind of work or does he know someone that does?
PM me if you have more details you can provide.
Best
G

You can check with www.autopowerindustries.com They can bend and cut the bars and ship to you. Then have an experienced person install for you. With this bar, you can later add a removeable front support (or complete halo with A pillar supports) if you drift into the RP class, or want more support. I know a fabricator in Kansas City if needed.

Gman! Also remember that the battery has to be disconnected and computor unplugged when doing any welding. It can fry the brain.

Also, the welder should know on these cars the gas tanks are close to welding area and are made of plastic. It will melt if not done right. I know this cause a member in our club did this and ended up with a few thousand dollar parts bill from GM.

Take care and good luck. The CCI people are good fun!

in group III, the rulebook says front or rear braced, and specifies where the brace has to be and what angle, but not how many braces. in my c4 convertible i run two front removable braces, but i saw a few verts with a single front brace, running from the center of the bar to the outside passenger wheel well. not as passenger friendly, and probably not what i would do, but i was surprised to find it an option.

Gman,

Call Darren Brown at Nostalgic Enterprises - 277-1967.

He is a member of CCI and a Corvette Specialist.

BTW - this is Tim - I'm the President of CCI...

You car looks awesome - can't wait to see it out on the track again.

Good to hear from you....!
I've been talking with Daren the past few days and just trying to get all the info I can.
Wish I could make the meeting but it's my son's B-Day dinner tonight.
Take Care,
G
