Looks like fun. I respect the GT3 RS and enjoy running with them on the track whenever I get the opportunity - just couldn't see me buying one over a Corvette.

Nicely done, especially if that was your first time driving a GT3. I'm envious, as that is the car I'd drive if I could afford one.
Thanks for the video!

Nice video.

When I win the lottery, I want to buy one of those cars.

What's the difference between the regular GT3 and the GT3 RS?

Weighs 20kg (~44lbs) less then GT3
-includes plastic rear lid, plastic rear window, carbonfiber wing
close ratio gearbox with single mass flywheel
44mm wider rear bodywork over wider track for better stability
supposed to only be available in artic silver, black, orange, and green
-somehow others have been built though (if you got the $$$)

They were first released in just those colors, but now buyers have the choice of just about any current color. They also have "paint to match" so you can have custom colors done as well.

The RS is an amazing car for sure, and I like jody, will buy one after I will the lottery. Until then, i need a tissue for my drool.

Thanks for the video!
Thanks, and it also helps to have about 20000mi around the track. I do every track day at Barbers and instruct with all the car clubs that come to Barbers and it helps to live about 10 minutes from the track. P.S. The white Pcar I caught was also a GT3 RS.

Can you compare lap times vs. C6 Z06 and C6 Z51?

Fun times!!! I love the sound of the wailing engine. How does the car feel in the corners? I noticed that you seem to do a lot of corrections in the corners as I see in a lot of racecar drivers in Porsches. I'm sure the car feels stable and predictable. Is it because you are right at the limit of tire adhesion or a little above?

How does the handling feel compared to the vettes you have driven?

Great Video!

I have only been once, but it was a lot fun and I plan on going many more times. I wish I could have made that event. I will definitely keep an eye out for it next year.

I am also curious on the corrections you had to make with the wheel. I saw another video of a porsche race car having to do the same. Any feedback on that? Also what tires did you have? You were flying around the track.

The U.S. version does not have the plastic rear window.

That was a great event. I am on the board of directors of the Alabama region of the SCCA and was the chief instructor of that event. We managed 8 twenty minute runs with 3 run groups. Everyone who came said it was one of the best events that they had been to. I have a July PDX in 08 and am working with Barbers for another 1 day event in Dec. with a limited number of participants. As far as the corrections, it was the first time I had ever driven a Pcar (rear engine) so I cant really say it was the car without more seat time. I will tell you when the car steps out a little it is very managable to correct as you can see in some of the video. One thing I can tell you is all of my life it has been beat into my head never to lift in a turn in one of those cars. I always had some throttle in the turns when the car got a little out of shape but it never seemed or felt I was in any danger of the car getting away from me. I did notice that after two laps the more aggresive I got the more I had to throttle steer the car which is why I think it looked like I was sawing the wheel. I own a 03 Z06 and in my videos my hands are smooth as glass whit no sawing of the wheel. I cant say enough good things about Tim Fortney. He is the person who owns the car I drove.
