Another thread about Xbox got me thinking about it. Is there a really good PC based game? Do any of them let you build your own course? It would be fun if I could build Hallett with the elevation changes etc.

the best, PHYSICS wise, was Sportscar GT. You can download pretty much every track in the universe, however the graphics are nearly 10 years old. The newer games look great, but they don't control like real cars.

C66 Racing

Forza 2 on an XBOX 360 is very realistic. With a good seat, steering wheel and pedal setup (none of which I have but I have "driven" on one), the exerience is amazingly accurate. Not sure what is the "best", but I was and am really impressed with Forza 2.

I loved that game! Very old by now, though... had a ton of great tracks. I loved racing at Donnington GP.

I like GTR2 and Live for Speed. There are lots of extra cars cars and tracks to download for GTR2.

I'm hooked on Forza 2 right now. I picked up an XBOX 360 just before Xmas and love it.
