Open track day: Gingerman Sat April 12
EDIT: This event has been postponed due to weather.
We are hosting our first event of 2008 at Gingerman on Saturday, April 12. Our events are run more like open track days than driving schools. We do have instructors, and there will be a classroom session for the less experienced though. As always, we will have four run groups detertmined by driver experience and car potential. Each session will be about 15-17 minutes and we run from 9AM-5PM with a one hour lunch break. Lunch is provided, along with water and Gatorade throughout the day. Cost for the day is $150.
We have always had fantastic turnout from the Corvetteforum, and we are hoping to keep that up this year. If you guys have questions, please let me know.

Thanks

Hope you all have a successful track day. I used to haul up to Gingerman 2-3 times a month for open practice events when I lived in Indiana. Always had a great time. Post some pictures after the event.

I think Speedtrials is out of commission in the midwest...I checked their website and they only have California events listed, and I went through Gingerman's calandar and they are not listed and all weekends are full with other clubs...
So this is your best shot

JMB92,
Thanks for the compliments. Hope you can make some of our other events.
We are trying to get several dates confirmed with Grattan right now.

What's the weather usually like up there at that time? It's about a 5 hour drive for me.
I drove to Indiana last April for an auto-x and it snowed the whole way over. Fortunately it was nice on the weekend to drive, but I know western Michigan can get hammered with lake effect.

Below is a link to weather.com with the average highs and lows. Basically, the high should be in the 50's and the overnight low in the mid to high 30's. Snow is not out of the question, but neither is a 70 degree day. If the event does happen to snow out, there will be a snow date. We will work with anyone that can't make the snow date to either credit you with another track day or refund your money.
Thanks
Ken
