Default Homestead Sun Race results

Sunday results...

Ed Zabinski
Phil Croyle
John Yarosz
Jerry Onks
Bob Kahn
Kurt Omensetter
AJ

AJ started from the pole and lead for 5 or 6 laps... Unfortunately the crank pulley bolt decided to back out after 37,000 miles and the drive belt took off and end of race for him due to overheating...

Phil and Ed had a great race as did jerry and john y...

Nice weather, good racing and more details later... Rushing to catch a flight home...

Joe,
Sorry to see AJ had the same problems that cost me a motor at the 2004 Runoffs. Though you guys probably know this, if the motor wasn't destroyed, I wouldn't just put a new crank bolt in and call it good. You've likely caused bearing damage (as I did) that would warrant a rebuild.

Congrats to Ed Z in the Ferrari.

Have a safe trip home.

Kurt completed both races without incident and had a great time racing with GT1 and A sedan cars!!!

The engine in Aj's car had somewhere from 15000 to 37000 miles on it and may have been a crate motor... It was a car we traded in and we have not touched the driveline at all....

It ran pretty good and turned some fast times, under the track record he set in a viper two years ago... It was pretty cool watching him outrun the two Ferraris, one a ST 430 and the other a T1 360...

We were scheduled to put a new engine in next month anyway and we will use this one as a building block for one of our test cars in march...

Unfortunately, I did not think of the crank bolt issue... My mistake.

Joe,
Nice to finally meet you,AJ,Kurt and John Y. Congrats to AJ on saturday and sorry about the bolt on sunday.

Congrats to Kurt on finishing his first two nationals and getting used to some heavy traffic.

Great close racing was had by Phil & Ed and Jerry & John.

It was hard to stand on the side lines and watch, but I'm working on the savings to get out and join you all soon.

How about a picture of the Rippie duct kit and your spindle duct holders. I'll call ya and order after I take a look at pictures.
