Default ferodo pads

Can anyone point me to a source for OEM pads "ferodo DS2500" other than a chevy dealer or suggest a pad that is similar to ferodo's. I struck out on the internet Car is a C6Z06 with stock calipers and rotors. Will be running a few track events as a new guy this year.

should have titled it "Race pads for stock C6Z06 calipers?" some will chime in soon.

there are 3-4 choices I think. See what Frank G. uses or Matt.

Will do, everyone I spoke with including vendors from the forum stated that DS2500's are being kept with the GM dealers for the C6Z06. any pads out there that you guys have used that are similar that wont chew up the rotors that can be used for a novice at a few track events or is there no such thing? I've done a lot of reading from various companies about there compounds but I rather stick to the knowledge of the forum's race section

Essecs parts are the or one of the Fedaro importers

http://www.essexparts.com/

the web site is a bit dated.

Fedro catalog http://www.essexparts.com/CatalogPDF...-19_Ferodo.pdf

DS2500, DS3000, DS3000 plus and 4003 Motorsports are the pad compounds. You will also need the pad style

FPC1553, FCP1563 are the styles for the C5 and C6 calipers

The FCP1553 comes in DS2500 and DS3000
the FCP 1563 only comes in DS2500

If you know the style or pad number, plus the compound you want call Essex.

The are a BIG BIG Nascar parts supplier and the AP Racing Brake importer. I got some some thermal heat shield from them

Why is the dealer stocking racing pads? It looks like a really nice compound:http://www.ferodo.co.uk/ferodo_home/ click under motorsports for pad details.
They make a DS3000plus03 that has a cf of .72

An article in corvette quarterly, winter 2006 page 53 regarding the C6Z06 brake system stated that the car is equipped with PBR calipers, San Luis Rassini partners with brembo for the rotors and ferodo DS2500 pads

Talk to Hawk and ask them for one of their softer compounds. For serious track use you need DTC-60 at least, although some of the beginners here use HP+ with good results.
