Default Anyone have a G-force SA helmet

I just got hte helmet today. I am just curious to see what that attachment black piece is for. Is that suppose to be for under your chin?

I believe you're talking about the black rubber piece that goes on the helmet in front of your nose to deflect your breathing away from the visor to reduce fog up when driving. Not that I ever use the visor....

I have this helmet and that is exactly what it is.

That is if you are talking about the piece I think you are.

Exactly - it's the breath deflector and it attaches to the lower part of the face opening. I use my visor a lot and have found the deflector useful depending on temps, mostly it's a PIA

The double sided tape is taped to the wrong side?

If it's like mine, the front lip slides down in between the shell and the padding. I did not pull the cover off the tape so I can pull the deflector out
