Can't keep anything from ya can I?
Yeah 2008 Night Rod Special, they are based on the V-Rod bikes.
All black frame, motor, tins.
1250cc 125hp
factory 240 rear tire
Brembo brakes with ABS
It's a Harley.....but not in the traditional way.

I've always stayed away from the bikes. I know how I like to push the limits in a car, and usually people only master one or the other. I don't want to find out that I'm much better in the car the hard way. Be careful Anthony, I don't want to come and work you guys like that. By the way, good luck you guys, I'll be pulling for ya'.
Mike "Junior" Johnson
p.s. Any advise from you guys, on how to advance my driving career after "Setup" would be great. I'm sure Lou has alkinds of thoughts on this subject. Unfortunately, I'm affraid they all start with my wallet.

We all have been telling Anthony to "Be Careful" because it won't be his fault but some person that doesn't see him.
When I was young and foolish, I use to borrow a buddy's bike and of course, if you can go fast in a car, you can go fast on a bike..Right?........WRONG!
I dumped the bike and looked like I went through a cheeze grater.
So needless to say, i don't ride motorcycles any more. at least not since my skin grew back
Hopefully, Anthony will not have any problems.

I went so far as to get a permit for one. I rapidly realized that either people just don't see you, or they just don't care. Either way I was going to be dead. Just four wheels for me now.
And I vote for finding Junior a seat, in time he'll be another Danny Popp in the Corvette world, and there's not a nicer, funnier guy you'd want on your team, fast too..IMHO.

It is a little hectic time to time on it. I don't ride it in downtown Dallas either, just to and from work on nice weekends and away from downtown in about any direction.
The bike itself, is one of the coolest things Harley has made in a long time. How can you go wrong with dual over head cams, four valves per cylinder, 125hp....rides like a cruiser, but rev's like a sport. Nice combo in my book.
Corvette is still more fun to throw around through the twisty roads though!

SpeedChannel had a special on the Vrod when it came out.
Some real engineering went into it.
What you think is the gas tank is not, it's down under the seat. The aircleaner is where the tank used to be. The wings you see on the radiator are necessary to get the flow in from behind the tire, as are the tabs.
