I know they can from personal experience. The car that I campaigned in the SCCA T1 class from 03 to 06 had a cage put in by Kurt which did have the door bars just inside where the window slid down. To meet SCCA T1 rules, this did require cutting the door panel out below the handle to allow the door bars to go out into the door (and offsetting them laterally from the driver to improve side impact protection). My door handle and controls buttons remained in place and fully functional.

Fitment is top shelf and the welds almost look like they're painted.

Main hoop is back far enough your helmet doesn't hit and as Subdriver said, the door bars can be put low enough in the doors to retain the window / armrest / switches.

I talked with Kurt today and he's now a dealer for Wilwood Brakes.

I would be on it in a NY minute for this great deal but business is horrible. My boat racing partner for 15 years whom I was best man for and Godfather for his kids and lent a bundle of money to when he started in business stuck me for $50,000. Two years ago this May since I did his building. In business since 1975 and never even had a hint of a court or a lawyer, so play money is tight. To think what I could have done with the money spent on lawyers and he continues to delay and stall the process because he has no case. Great deal and I wish I was able to get on done. See what happens this year with commercial construction on Long Island. Residential I hear is all but gone.

I would feel a lot better with a cage at the speeds we go.

Kurt is putting on my coil overs and cornerweighting my car this week, so he's mine first!!!

You got to move to Orlando FL. My brother in law is mechanical engineer and even with economic downturn, they are going crazy and can't keep up with all the commercial and residential building. He says they are just building condo's and other commercial space left and right. Now he says many of the buyers are actually from Europe and England in particular. So even while economy is bad, Europeans are buying time shares/condo's left and right as the dollar is so weak and euro is so strong. It's wild, but he says entire buildings are being sold directly to europeans to the point where entire communities are europeans.

Just think...warm winters...Sebring, Homestead, Road Atlanta, Barber Motorsports Park...DAYTONA!!!

If I left here in would be NC or VA. FL = tons of mortgage foreclosures. Masonry contractors who come and go so fast it is crazy. They work so cheap the never buy their own material the builder does. My friend went to build a huge court house in FL and could not maintain a crew, they were all stoned and failed drug testing. Story I am getting is construction is dead in FL. NYC is busy but my life is to short to spent hours in traffic every day to go 50 miles.

I took 1.5 years off from my business and mothballed it. I ran the field operations for a masonry company in NYC and we had 400 bricklayers and laborers. I rented the guy equipment and was supposed to get 20%of the profit on a 15-20 million dollar a year operation. 20% x 0 = 0 so I left and got paid for equipment rentals after 9-10 months Minoritiy Coalitions threats and battles every day The secrataries embezled the company for 300,000+ He lost money by not getting extra work orders signed Hundreds of thousands even though I warned him. After doing this since 1975 I have seen all the ups and downs. Municipal projects on Long Island are drying up with no money.

Sorry for off topic.

Cages are really nicely done at Phoenix One day I'll get there.

Wow... compared to what I was quoted a few months back when researching a cage for my car this is a steal (before deciding to get the Panoz).
