Default Help: Video of Bushing Compression Under Load

Anyone have any video of OEM bushing compression under load? I remember seeing some but can't remember where.

Aaron?? Was it your undercar shots I'm remembering? I can only find the A-arm flex ones not the bushing video.

Thanks.

No, not them...but thanks. I'm looking for the control arm bushings, not the sway bar ones.

Anyone else?

Ted,

This is the one you are looking for I'll bet: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1566838745-post12.html Actually, this post links to the same video as above, so never mind!

I've learned a lot about setting up my C6 from talking with Gary.

Look closer, you CAN see the rear control arm bushing move alot, just under the sway bar bushing.

Ted,

I believe you are talking about the video Aaron took of their C6 at Reno/Fernley in the beginning of the year. I know Aaron is hammered getting the C5 ready for 25 hours of Thunderhill.

Try calling Josh, at PFADT. 1-888-972-2464 as Josh was there during testing and will probably have video clip info.

Ok, I got it. The lower sway bar bracket bolt with the nut on it is the lower control arm bolt and the bushing is just on the other side of it! Thanks. Lots of movement!

Cool! Now figure around 7-8mm per degree of camber and you can really see why the rubber bushings hurt grip. You need alot more static camber to get what you actually need under dynamic loads. We have something coming out soon that is very cool in this regard.

Thanks, but unless I can use it in SCCA SS Class I can wait for your launch to learn about it. I hate getting excited about things I can't use.

Good luck with whatever it is!!

Default Control Arm Bushing Deflection

About a year ago we did a bunch of track testing with under car video. I did some digging though the video and we had some great footage of the rear control arm bushings! The car in this video is a C6 Z06 with a early set of our prototype Sport Shocks, otherwise the car is stock.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help with!

Thanks Josh. Have you guys modified the valving on your front shocks for autox yet?

Glad to help! We have been working with a number of SS drivers to refine the valving. I do not have a set of prototypes built yet but it is on the list!

Can we discuss valving without lawyers? I would love to publish dyno charts, who else wants to? This is about science, not marketing.
