Default Stock c5 pads & Nitto 555rs (all around)

I saw a post in regards to racing tires on a c6z06 with stock brake pads. I'm using stock c5 pads and will be riding on nitto 555rs? Is this a problem? Should I just use my street setup? I would prefer not to b/c I have a 19/20 setup for the street. I'd probably be laughed showing up with that type of setup for an HPDE event?

This was my first year doing Track Days. I did 7 events this year the majority at Road Atlanta, (PDX), but several NASA events. I ran stock Z06 Pads on my 2002 with Nitto tires.

For the record, I am now changing pads and fluid for next year. I'll still use the Nittos with Hawk HP+.

I ran an entire season this year on 555R2's and stock C5 ZO6 pads and it worked great.

MYRX - I'm surprised we didn't meet at the track somewhere this year. Are you running at Road Atlanta next month with NASA? I used to live in Winterville too.

I've used Hawk pads on my 98 camaro z28 w/motul...worked pretty good. I have wheel wood 600+ in my c5 for my next two events.

No, I am not doing the NASA at Rd. ATL. in Dec. Perhaps we can hook up early next year. I would like to try Roeblin Rd. and Barber. Lets keep in touch. (only lived in Winterville for 4 years now). I do every PDX at Rd. Atl with the SCCA.

Do you have any more information on these events? I'm an SCCA member and take every chance I can to get on the track, especially Rd. Atl.

Sperkins:

The SCCA holds the PDX during regional and national events, on Sundays. Send some contact information to my email address JBBuckner@windstream.net, if you like. I'll give you a direct contact number or call you and we can discuss more. You can also go to the Atlanta Region SCCA site and look up PDX.
