Default Pfadt Seat bracket seat options

Hey guys,

I am looking to buy the Pfadt Seat brackets and sparco sliders and I'm just wondering which seats everyone has used with this setup with success. Obviously Sparco seats would work with sparco sliders... However, has anyone done a Cobra, Corbeau, Racetech, Recaro, Bride, or F1 Spec? Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a set of Cobra's (Imola S) with PFADT seat brackets. Works fine.

thanks, were you able to utilize your standard seat belt for street driving or do you just swap it out for track days? I have seen some threads before where I think you have to modify the stock seat belt to work with racing seats. And I know you should not use stock seat belts at the track with race seats...

I do not use stock belts but race harnesses as this is just a track car.

It would take some major surgery to use your stock belts with a race seat. The receiving end of the lap belt is attached to the inside of the stock seat and the retractable belt bolts to the outside. It only take 10 minutes or so to swap seats if you are using the Pfadt bracket on the race seat.

Depending on the size of your seat and the position of it, the belt and retractors can interfere with it. It's hard to run stock belts and a racing seat in a C5, but some have done. If you have to move to a 17" seat, it's very hard.

Thanks for the input guys. I would really like to just leave the racing seat in there, but it is an easy swap out I guess. I supposed I could rig something up (especially since I drive to the events).

As you can see, a sports seat like the Sparco Roadster has space for the 3-point receiver, but full race seats don't have the space.

I guess you could thread the receiver through the lap belt slot on a true race seat if need be.

This is what I was thinking of doing when I move towards a full race seat.

*edit* - I am using the Pfadt seat base with Sparco side mounts.
