C5 + C4 = Woohoooooooo!
After about a million hours of research and a bunch of awesome advice from you guys here on the forum, I finally decided not to track the Z06 and to keep it as a daily driver/show car. My new track car was dropped off yesterday and it is a beast! There is still some work that needs to be done (like seats obviously) but it will be ready to bring to the track once the weather warms up. Thanks to Jeff for an awesome buying experience
In the meantime, Jeff made up an awesome seat. It doesn't have a lot of lateral support in those high g turns

congrats! You definitely got a great car for track and/or autocross I've competed up against Jeff and Georgana many times in that car - it's fast and always turned outstanding times

And that's what scares me! The driver is definitely the weak link in the system at this point.

I think the wood might actually give more support than the stock Z seats.

The best site around is ACU-4 on the Littlecreek Amphibious Base.
Their is also Pungo Airfield, Langley, and VMP.
The clubs that put these events on are NASA, ODR-SCCA, and Tidewater Sports Car Club.
Nasa has a winter series going on right now with some events at VMP, but the other clubs will start up again around March.
Check out Autocross.us it has all the info about local autocrosses.

[QUOTE=redls1gto;1568387730]You see correctly. I live in Chesapeake, VA. I'm active duty Navy and my home of residence is still Ohio so I keep the Ohio plates. Best part is I'll be able to register the C4 and actually get Ohio plates for it so I can drive it to a cruise-in on occasion if I feel the urge.
Gotta love Ohio Collector plate laws, no inspection or E-Check. I still drive my C4 race car "COUGH COUGH" I mean show car to club meetings and cruises here and there.
Thats a full cage car with Non DOT slicks, open exhaust & all the lights/signals are funtional too.

I really have to get with you more experienced guys and figure out when/how is the best way to get there. I have been looking at the Trackdaze events and leaning towards that so far. I'm still trying to weed through a TON of info on getting the car (and more importantly myself) ready so I'm always open to suggestions and advice.
