vidI wonder why he kept it around 175 on the straight. Could have done 200 I would think

This is more common than you think. Last week at Sebring (Chin Motorsports) the ZR1 was getting smoked by the Z06s. I guess the driver does make a difference.

This is more common than you think. Last week at Sebring (Chin Motorsports) the ZR1 was getting smoked by the Z06s. I guess the driver does make a difference.

The ZR1 is a Gentleman's Sports Luxury Car. The Z06s are faster on the track, though corners and can brake much harder and shorter distances.
Remember guys most track events have TRAFFIC so top end means little
I have some great video from inside a Z06 chasing down a ZR1 at Road America. I will see if I can post it.
The ZR1 driver was very experienced him self and was surprised to constantly see the Z06 in his mirror.
The only place the ZR1 had an advantage was out of T5 UP the hill under the Bridge to T6 and out of T14 again UP the hill to the finish line, but the Z06 would catch him every time going into T1 after the finish line.
The Z06 did have Stop Tech brakes and Hoosiers Rs on.
