Video editing software help
Does anyone know of some video editing software that allows you to rotate the image like you can do with JPEG's? I have new small camcorder (all SD RAM) that I would like to put in some locations that might be at an angle to look at suspension stuff or underneath the car.

just copied this from some site:
Microsoft's Movie Maker will rotate movie clips 90' but you must have XP installed. If you don't have it installed it's a free download or you should be able to add it from your XP Disk.
You can rotate video clips in Windows Movie Maker by doing the following:
1. Import the video clip into Movie Maker.
2. Drag the imported video clip and drop it onto the timeline.
3. On the Tools menu, click Video Effects.
4. To rotate the video clip to the right, drag the Rotate 90' video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.
If that isn't the right direction:
To rotate the video clip to the left, drag the Rotate 270 video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.
5. On the File menu, click Save Movie File and follow the instructions in the Save Movie Wizard.
For detailed instructions, see Windows Movie Maker Help.
Note that you may need to adjust the pixel aspect ratio of your rotated video so that it looks normal during playback.
I'd recommend a good read of Movie Maker's Help section.
Another way is by using QuickTime Player, choose Get Movie Properties from the Movie menu, choose Video Track from the left pop-up menu, and choose Size from the right pop-up menu.
Click the Adjust button. Drag the red marks in the corners to resize the movie, and drag the red marks on the sides to skew the movie. Drag the red circle in the middle to rotate the movie.
You can rotate and flip a movie using additional buttons in the Size window. To restore the original appearance, click Normal. To present multiple movies in the same frame, add multiple video tracks and resize or skew each to the position you want. To put one movie in front of another, adjust the layer setting for a video track in the movie Properties window. "
I hope you understood that :-)

Thanks DH! I am new to Apple, this is my first. I bought the Mac Book Pro a few months ago and it is really nice. It is so much better than any laptop PC it is not even close. I have killed at least 3 laptops from kicking the power cord and messing up the power input plug, but the magnetic power plug on the Mac is genius. The CNC aluminum case and internal DVD reader, and LCD backlight are the best. Also, it NEVER crashes, and I almost forgot what a blue screen of death looks like! However, I have to do Solidworks on my big Ibuypower PC, the Macbook with VM ware/XP just does not have the power to run it. Is there something other than iMovie, that I should use? It seems pretty good, but I am open to suggestions on a Mac.
