C6 Race Car Project
I figured I would show a couple of pictures of my project. I have owned it for a couple of years but started working on it recently. It started life a rolled over 05 that I believe came out of either the VaBeach area or MD. It was a Z51 with headers and light mods on it that was rolled over. Everything from the damage was fixed and or straightened and now is being built into a race car. It is being built to run SCCA TCC and B production or the ST class. I will also run some NASA ST1 with it. The car is still a good 6 months from being finished and it is in Chicago right now having the cage built by Performance AFX. If anyone is looking to get some cage work you should give them a call, I am very happy with mine. I did go a little farther then what most do and I cut my windshield post and b pillar off the car and went with a one piece carbon roof. It took me about 6 months to finally make the decision to do it, but now it is done and I am happy. Anyways just wanted to share what I was working on this winter and to give the Pefomance AFX guys a shout out, Thank You.][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

The big wheel is really the fast machine. Can you believe I bought that at Toy R Us and it was made in the USA. It was molded by a company in VaBeach, VA. I could not believe it. Yea the truck is pretty awesome I have to agree.

Here is a couple of more pics. The upper pics are when the w/s frame and b pillar are cut off. That was some sleepless nights deciding to that, but I am happy that I went that route. The lower picture was once I got the suspension back in it and was taking it to the frame shop.

A little bit, but you have a rollcage tube their now. So if you are comparing to a stock Vette with not cage, it would be about the same, with cage stock windshield frame and a cage it is a huge difference. The other issue it the clearance getting in and out of the car, the tube is up high now instead of below everything and away from your head when your in the car. If you look at the picture with the roof you can't even see the tube, but it is there.
Vector, 2009, you will get used to seeing allot of the taillights on this car.
