I couldn't agree more. If I was going to produce a car show that is what it would be like. There are no other shows like it especially on Speed.

I have my DVR set to record every episode.
the worst would be Pinks or anything produced by Rich Christinson, that fool doesn't know jack about racing.

Now what the hell am I going to do with my "I am the Stig" T-shirt!!!
Dammit, that was always one of the fun things about Top Gear, I totally believed the former F-1 driver rumors, I figured the guy was at least a former F-1 test driver.
That has got to be one of the best jobs in the world hands down... A new super car every week, sometimes the occasional tractor or electric car. The Stig gets to do some cool stuff at work, I hope they don't can the guys just because the outed him. But I'm sure that they will have to something to keep there joke going.

This is the second time that this has happened to Top Gear. I think everyone knew that it was Peter Collins , but it was fun to have the "Mystery Racer" .
Too bad really, it is one of the only car shows on TV along with Motorweek ,My Classic Car and that thing with Wayne Carini on HDNet - Chasing Classic cars. Speed is worthless, it used to be good.
The comment that he hates American Cars? So do Americans, that is why the market share of Detroit has dwindled so .. Take the trucks out of the equation to level the car market numbers and Presto! The big 3 fall way down the charts. Clarkson is only saying in a literate way that for which most Americans have a four (or more) letter word followed by "Junk". As in "F#c*ing Junk", precisely the term I use to describe my current gen Suburban from an ergonomic standpoint...

If you saw on the internet the show where they drive a ZR1 a CTSV and a Hemi Challenger from SF to the Saltflats, you know they don't hate all American cars. Great show

Yeah, I've always believed there were multiple drivers that have played the part of the Stig over the years (their laptimes for the Masarati MC-12 were supposedly set by the owner as the Stig).
Perhaps Top Gear can just "refute" the report and show the Stig while Collins is in the audience or something similarly "authentic".
Then we can all go on believing in Santa Claus.
Have a good one,
Mike
