Default KW Coilover Variant 3 for C5

Would anyone care to share their experience with KW's Coilover V3? I am in the process of order/installing and would like some input. Were the spring rates right? Fit and workmanship? Installation issues?

Thanks!

V3's are really nice coilovers for the money. nice bodies, double adjustable and amazing build quality. I have a fair amount of experience with them, and the only "downside" is the progressive spring in the rear.

KW variant 3 Coilovers

These are VERY popular in the subaru world (my previous life ). I know a few shops that work with KW for custom valving and spring rates. They have nice bodies, and are great company, lots of retailers in the US, etc. I could go on for days about them.

The website pricing is wrong, it's been that way for a while. They retail around $2800. The shocks arrived and the spring rates seem way off.

They look GREAT!

The fronts were too soft. I should have them on the car soon. I don't quite know the ins and outs of the shocks but will post when I've had a chance to check them out.

Any updates on these?

I found a site that has them for a tick under $1400.

I've searched but was unable to really come up with anything on them and Corvettes

Can't speak to the Vette world but as said above the KWs are very popular in the Subaru tuning community. I have a set of Racecomp Engineering coilovers which are just a Variant 3 that was custom valved and sprung for RCE by KW. So while I can't comment directly on the Vette application, I can say that they are very well built coilovers. The quality seems top notch for the price point. As far as performance goes, I am also very pleased. The ride comfort has degraded but the car still drives well enough on rough roads for use as a daily driver. I'm sure the Vette application is valved differently so who knows how they ride on that car.

KW are pretty much the best available in the GTO world (which isn't saying much ) I'm happy with mine. They're a bit more track oriented than street - the high speed valving (ie: the non-adjustable bit) is too stiff, I suspect. Of course that may be specific to this particular application. Build quality is good and their race springs are very good.

KW are the OE providers for the Viper ACR, the Gumpert Apollo and various other boutique brands.

They make aftermarket suspension systems for Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, etc which seems a bit ... cheeky.

How did these turn out? Or does anyone else have these on their C5? Feedback appreciated
