C4 Race Cars/Book Project
Ok, what I am looking for is pictures of your cars that are full out race cars. I am looking for cars that have full roll cages and are set-up for auto cross, TCC races, HDPE or open road racing. This project will consist of chapters dealing with the Challenge cars, World Challenge cars, early SCCA Escort cars and one chapter on private owner cars. Show me what you have!!!!
These are the type of photos I need

These are the only pictures I've got on this computer, I've got a whole bunch of the bearings I've destroyed / the engine I blew up! Just a few of the actual car though, I can get more detailing the cage this weekend if need be.
If I hunt some more down, I can get a bunch with the real numbers / decals on, these were only from the first event of the year last summer.
Just for fun, here's what happens when you don't have a road race pan for the carousel at Road America (being at the top of 3rd for the whole thing didn't help either)

I just noticed something about the pictures that were posted by the OP.
That blue C4, the one lap of america car, is an amazing piece of work. I got the opportunity to tour Mallet's shop (that's Chuck Mallet's car) in January and he had that car on display. It started life as a ZR-1 but he pulled the ZR-1 motor because it was too heavy and put his own engine in, moved it farther back and lower in he chassis etc. etc. I was really impressed with the amount of work that went into the suspension, engine, cage, and everything else on that car. Truly an amazing race car. Mallet does some great work, he had some really impressive cars at his shop (twin turbo Z06 putting down in the neighborhood of 800 HP, a Solstice with a 427 V8)

Now the car did not have a ZR-1 motor in when it showed up at the shop. It is a great car with alot of time invested in it and that is why it will be in the book.

I'm not too fond of it, it completely kills visibility. I've got a 12 year old little brother who has to look between the dash and the bar on the passenger side to see out of the car. It sure does stiffen up the chassis though.

I know it's not a FULL race car yet but it's on it's way. It currently weights 2780 and I am putting a Forged 442 CI LS-7 into it...Expect to see it in NASA Super Unlimited in about 2 years (I'm deployed right now and the car won't be done until the following season).
^^^What racing with a pretty much stock 20 year old suspension looks like...can you say bump stops hahaha.
I know none of these pictures are probably good enough for a book or anything but thought I would at least post them. Very nice pictures you have so far and can't wait to see the finished product
PS if you are actually interested in any of these pictures I have them in their original (non compressed) larger sizes. My internet in Iraq is just REALLY slow so I don't post large pictures unless I need too.

Randy, I sent you a PM but if you have the original photos, you can scan them into a home scanner and they will not lose that much clarity. Some of the photos that I know I will be using for the book are 20 yrs old so it will not be a problem for this project.

My old C4 World Challenge car. I only ran one World Challenge race in 2000, but I also won the 2000 P.R.O. race series in Southern California with this car.
My first C4 toy. Starting autocrossing this car in 1993. Grew into a race car and ran this with TCRA back in the late 90's. Won fastest big bore in 1998.
