ZR1 around the Ring with data overlay...
Here's a link to the ZR1's run around Neuburing with data overlay. Pretty interesting.

I dig that. It's interesting how he runs the engine pretty low some times. All the supercharged torque really makes a difference, I guess.

Great vid, I'm proud to say that he didn't go any faster than I ever did through the corner unofficially known as the "newbie" corner, you can guess why; at 50 mph. Also he was only 6 to 10 mph faster than me through the first carousal, but it's really physics more than car and driver that determines speed in those two corners, you just can't go much faster. Needless to say he smoked me every where else. One the first straight where I was scared to hit 140 and usually never went over 135 he hit 179, WOW!!!!!! You see that straight is followed by an OFF CAMBER left hander, if you lift just a bit you hit the wall. After Afghanistan and a school I hope to get stationed in Germany in 2011 and I swear the day I pick up my C6 I'll head to the Nordshclife for a lap or 5.

Thank you for your service to our country, and I'll be looking for those pictures of you and the C6.

All I can say is that you couldn't PAY me to sit in that car during that drive around the ring. Not sure what safety gear the driver had, but at the speeds he was hitting, with barriers only a few feet away, that car would disintegrate and he would be dead on impact. I wouldn't drive around that place anywhere near 8/10th's without a full cage. He is one brave soul, or better be getting paid a fortune. I could tell there were several places where he was on the absoulte edge, and placing the tire another inch in the wrong place would have done him in...
otherwise absolute fabulous driving.

Who is the guy driving? I thought I heard somewhere he is part of the engineering team or something and not a pro wheel. Anyone know?
Thanks
