Some more progress pics

I have gone full dark side and decided to put a race cage in my car.
JR Mechanical Services in Cincy will be doing the work.

Looking forward to a much higher level of safety on the track.
Will post pics as we progress

I'm thinking of doing this to my C5Z once I get my C6Z. Anyone know anyplace in Tucson or Phoenix that they've had good experience with having a cage put in?

Joe @ JR Mechanical and JR Race Cars is going to do a great job on this roll cage......He is the only guy that I would trust in the area to do any special fabrication on my car.

It will be great to have another cage builder without traveling the globe to have this done correctly. It will be a god send for the people in the area...

Bill, better get on that diet......Unfortunatley your new found safety will be adding wieght to the car. We'll make sure that Joe builds you one of those "lightwieght" cages.

Gonna be fun to cannabalize and gut your car this weekend.....There will be no turning back now for Photon. Safety first and then we'll make it faster...

Do you know a surgeon that can give Bill a lobotomy along with an an arm and leg transplant because that's the only way he will get faster

I love ya buddy...and I am very jealous of your soon to be "caged heat"

Bill, good call. It may actually improve times, stiffer car/more relaxed driver. What is cost? We are going to cage Jonathans 2000.

Congratulations Bill! April 13th is quickly approaching!

Got mine pretty much ready, just need to get with Danny and get an alignment from him and have him mount my Toyo R888s when he has some time.

There are a lot of good reasons to have a cage. On the other hand once a cage goes into your car it's done as a street car. That means when the time comes to sell it the market is really really small. There's no free lunch out there.

Bill has two vettes anyway. So a dedicated track car with cage is the BEST WAY TO GO.

and I agree with Mike, the best mod money anyone can spend is on safety.

Tom is correct.
The 06 is 100% track car and will stay that way to the grave.

Initial pics can be found at
http://www.1010thsmotorsports.com/Car_Conversion.html

From full stock interior other than a seat to being completely gutted out.
