Default Corvette Driver takes KONI ST Pole At Homestead.

For those who follow Andrew, here is the Grand American press release... It was a pretty exciting qualifying session... On the pole early, AJ had to dig deep after three other drivers set subsequent pole times... Finally on the last lap, following two laps to cool tires and find an opening, AJ took one more try and got it, by 3/1000ths of a second...

If i did my math correctly, the top 4 cars are separated by less than 4/100'ths of a second.. That is pretty close...!!!

6 different makes in the top six positions, Subaru, Honda, VW, BMW,mazda and Chevrolet..

This is going to be some race...

I love it when racing is that close especially when there is that much variety in the cars! Is there television for the race?

sadly, no speed vision coverage.

this was a great race.. only two shor cautions and vitually all gree flags...A honda and mazda battled door to to for the last hour and randy pobst in the honda won...

We had a real excitiing race... Andy led from the pole fo a few laps, got caught in a 3 wide fender bender, last abs, flat spotted tires, pitted for a quick fix wnt to last and wokrd his way back to the lead 30 laps later...

Got mixed into the fuel stop shuffle (we use more fuels than the lighter cars), so we shuffled back to 10th in the fuel stops and ended up with 5th with christian drving hard at the end...

tough luck, but he team hadled adversity well, the drivers stayed focused and stared disaster in the eye and did not blink!!!

ore later...

Joe
