Default Need recommendations for tow vehicle shocks and tires......

My 2006 HD2500 Silverado Crew Cab has 54,000 miles on it now, much of that towing. It is in dire need of tires and shocks. It has the factory Bridgestone 265 ribs on it, and although they don't seem like a bad tire I wanted some input from people who tow with other brands on their trucks with regards to milage, road noise, wet performance etc. Also, any good shocks out there for a decent price that are not junk? Thanks for any input!

I put Bilsteins on my Excursion last year...outstanding improvement (of course, at least one of my oem's was pretty much completely blown).

I've had Yokohama Geolanders (a lot of those are for light trucks/suv's, but there was a model that had the right size with an E load rating) on it for 30k miles or so...very pleased with them.

Shocks, I recommend and use Bilsteins on my F250.

As far as tires...after blowing a tire and damaging my pickup with my previous brand of tires...I invested in a set of Goodyear Silent Armour All Terrains in the "Pro Grade".

The key is to focus on the ones listed in the sizing as "Pro Grade". They have a much heavier capacity than the non Pro grades.
