Default Full Manual Auto for Road Racing

I just wanted to ask if anyone with a 4L60E if they have raced or race with a full manual valve body. Im getting more and more into AutoX and canyon carving and was wondering on the fun factor of a full manual auto. My trans is currently built but Im going thru a few things on it and have that as an idea/option. Even with my stall, when I do canyon carving or HPDE, if I manualy use the selector the trans stays in the 170 degree range so it stays pretty cool, thanks to a huge cooler. So, anyone have a full manual auto setup? Anyone recommend or not recommend it and why? Please let me know. Thnx.
