Default Which (clip-on) panoramic rear view mirror?

Tried searching to no avail;
- Which rear view mirror are you guys using?

Not only looking for a better view, but also thought that my video camera could be picking up something more interesting than my helmet - and actually capture what's going on behind me.

Something that snaps-on for track days only.
Thoughts?

Found this at summit for $9.95

Bar none, these are the best mirrors out there --

http://www.allviewmirror.com/ram.htm

Have a replacement for the OEM mirror in my T1 car and daily driver permanently mounted. Nothing like it. For you, go with the "Smart Clip" setup.

I tried this mirror and went back to the stock. It made things look to distant, hard to judge.

Did you just replace the OEM mirror? Does it go on the stock mount on the windshield (the little metal tap on the glass)?

My experience was the same with my first "cheapo" race mirror. That is Allviews claim to fame, there is no real distortion or distance issue. It really is pretty amazing to sit behind one!

Yes, replaced the stocker. I tried to use the factory puck to mount it but the size is slightly different. Allview supplies a puck and proper factory type epoxy, 2 parts you combine and then affix. They say for optimal results the mirror should be mounted closer to the driver side of the car anyway, vice the middle. At first I was skeptical but when you see it, you believe it. I was also skeptical of the epoxy strength. The mirror has been in my T1 car for over 2 years now, including my Pocono accident. It stayed on the windshield.

I need one of these! Anyone know if the roll bar mount type vibrates too much to see out of?

Joe, How far off center did you mount yours? They seem to show the model 1750 mounted all the way over on the drivers side. Yet they show a picture of a RAM version in the center.

TIA...

I did get their Smart Clip version and was first worried that it was on the small side - not so, quite the opposite - need to move my radar detector so that camera get a better angle.
- For driving - it's fine as is.

Thanks for the tip!

Short clip showing the mirror - dusk so low quality - hope link works
