Default cats and racing ???

It has probably been addressed before but I understand that cats get eaten when racing only and cause all kinds of problems. So if I take my cats out what is the hot ticket for dealing with the second O2 sensor. They used to sell O2 simulators for the rear sensors but I heard that they are not considered illegal and you can't buy them anymore. So the question is:

1) can you still buy sims and where?

or

2) can a tuner or can a hptuners unit just turn off the second sensor or something?

3) something else????

Thanks guys!

Diablo tuner will also do the job.
