Seems like a good idea, but man that is inching so close to the Z06 it's not even funny. It's getting to the point that I can see them dropping the Z06 line and just having Base, Grand Sport, and the ZR1.

Those wheels look a "Ferrari-ish".....restyled fender vents are???......Hopefully GM has a good surprise comming with the 2010 ZO6.

This could be a real contender in SCCA SS class. With all of the improvements in suspension tuning and more appropriate for AX gearing, it could be a winner.

I think this is a way to make the wide body &/or vert option available to those who want auto trannies....there have been many all along that have expressed this on their wish list. Hopefully this will push more performance fron the Z....I'll be waiting to see the 2010 Z specs.

Some people, not me, would prefer the paddle shifter
If you're a true track hound, though, go with the manual that also comes with a dry-sump oil system, differential cooler and rear-mounted battery.

I like the car, no way I can afford that car to run in W2W... but maybe in a few years I could pickup something like this used.

Needs a big stripe down the middle if it's a tribute.

C5 Z06/C6 Z51 transmission gearing.
C6 Z06 sized wheels.
Now only if the curb weight was lower (saw it listed as 3316 somewhere), it would be an excellent SS contender. I doubt that the new fenders on the C6 GS are carbon fiber, and I doubt that the floorpan uses carbon fiber.

I would venture to guess that this will employ the new style paddle shifters found on the Camaro. The config will be Right=upshift and left=downshift.
Al, I didn't have your email or you would have been in my mass email this morning.
Still happy to see this come along in these times. It basically looks like a less expensive, less powerful Z06. Looks like a winner to me.
