Nelson Ledges May 9th
I'm going up to Nelson Ledges on May 9th for one of their so called "Fun Days". Anyone going up there that weekend? I'm going up to get my driving legs started up for the year before going to Watkins Glen the week after.

I was thinking about it , but it really depends on my wife and her plans. I've been trying to get her to a fun day to do a little driving herself. I've haven't been to the Glen but will be there with the PCA group the week after . Stop over . Walt

Nelson Ledges and Watkins Glen are two new tracks this year for me. I'm glad the PCA event is two days, which gives me a lot of time to get comfortable with the track. By the time I get used to the track at Nelson it'll be time to go. I'm praying for no rain both of those weekends.

Posted a couple of videos from Nelson Ledges today. It's from a GoPro camera so there is basically no sound. It was quite windy today but in all it turned out to be a nice day at the track, except for the Mustang and Boxter owners who decided to exchange paint.

Burning Brakes
Nice video, thanks for posting. So what are they charging for a fun day this year? I was there last August, had a great time. There was a surprising number of offs though, just one of those days I guess. One guy buried his GT3 into the tire wall at turn 1, ouch! Another guy went of the wall on that long sweeping right hander (the one at the bottom of the page in the plot above). I think I'll try and make it out there on Aug 7 (fun day).

That's funny you saying you're being a chicken at the kink. This was my first time at this track and I was always breaking going into the kink. Well I guess it's turn 11. I could just lift off and go through but at 130 top speed I'm just don't have the guts. Getting into the grass today would have been hell since it rained last night.
