Which C6 Z06 Tire Sizes To Go With?
I want to get some PS2's, but the PS2 doesn't come in stock sizes. I really don't want to screw up the AH, TC, Comp Mode or ABS functionality when driven on track (road course).
With that said, what sizes would work on stock chrome rims? I was thinking perhaps:
285 30 18
345 30 19
Any takers?

That's almost a 2.5" difference F to R diameter... vs. stock 1.1"... AH will freak!
275/35/18 fronts would be a better match.
But there are posts that the PS2 345's are so tall, they rub on full compression on track. I run the 345's on the street with no issues, but have never tracked that tire.
You may want to consider a different brand if you plan on tracking often.

Thank you very much for the input.
Discount tire thought the rear might be too tall as well.
I need better traction than the GY SC tires. What about the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position Run Flat ? Those tires come in the exact sizes that I need.
Would the RE050A Pole Position Run Flat be a better track tire than stock Supercars or would it be marginal?
I'm going to be driving ~650 mi to the track (Seattle to Thunderhill) for a 2 dayer and then drive back home.

These nitto NT05's look sticky http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Ent05
size............Inflated Dia.
275/35ZR18...25.63"
335/30/ZR19..26.89"
stock diameters
25.6" Front (275/35R18)
26.7" Rear (325/30R19)
Would that Nitto work well for my use? I may not have tire left when I come back but I'll worry about that later

Invo's are popular, but there are good things being said about Kuhmo's new semi-r compound tire (the XS)
"The Ecsta XS (eXtreme Street) is Kumho’s Extreme Performance Summer tire developed for passionate driving enthusiasts looking to make the most of their vehicle’s capabilities in competition, at the track or on the street."
It comes in the stock 275/18F and a 345/19R. This tire is being marketed as a competition tire that can be used on the street. Try a set and let us know how it works...

Michelin Pilot Cup Sport would be the stickiest tire for your need... they are expensive, but are great on track, far stickier than stock GYs, no problems on the street, and last forever (for an R-compound). 285/30/18 & 325/30/18
Otherwise go with the NT-05... but i'm not sure if they will faster than the stock GY's (MHO).

Dreamin, I like the way you think about tires!
However, did you consider the 1300 mile round trip to California plus 2 days track wear? From looking at those babies I'm not sure I could get enough life to make it home, but damn how tempting.....

5200 street miles and 7 track days, ~50 tread left (-1.6F /-1.1R camber)... at Thunderhill / Laguna Seca / CA speedway (tracks tough on tires/brakes).
It's the Factory tire on the Viper ACS and 911 GT2... it holds up to street driving just fine... just watch the heat cycles.
