Jerry onks t1 vette @ daytona scca national
Jerry Onks and his Vette are the lone T1 at the SCCA CFR Daytona National.
This is Jerry's first time at DIS and yet he cut a fine 2:03.715 in second round qualifying. I think this is only about 1 second off the track record.

In the GT-1 class, the Corvette of Bob Borders qualified second at 1:57.907 behind the 1963 Ford Falcon of Bill Riddell. Ok, it is a very special 1963 Ford Falcon. A new tube frame chassis built by Tommy Riggins and sporting a wide body CF Falcon body. Reportedly the aero numbers are even better than the Trans Am Mustangs that Kendall and Said drove. It is powered by a Ford NASCAR Craftsman truck motor.

Jerry finished third overall today in his T1 Vette, took the class win of course and was credited with a new SCCA T1 track record. Fast lap 2:02.974.
The Falcon won overall and GT-1 with a 1:55.237 fast lap.

Great to finally meet you after reading about you on this site. That's the first SCCA race I've been to since the kids went to College.
I'd hoped Arron would be there but he had to work at the Mitty.
I'll post pictures if someone can tell me how!
