Who has durometer readings?
Is there a link, or has anyone got a setup record, where they took durometer readings on various tires?
Perferable new tire readings, but just interested in learning more about how different tires spec out, especially 710 & A6.

Thanks, I have one. What I am posting for is some "database" of readings that may (or may not) be available from some race shop.
My "new" 710's are about 70, used a6's (24 runs) about 58.
Anyone got some readings?

so are you taking hot readings, and recording them at various temps? I've got old track tires that are hard as a rock, but still work really well once they reach temp. Just want to make sure the readings are accurate for as-used condition

Both are cold readings. The 710 is brand new cold so I guess we need to develop some rules/protocol for this to make any sense.
Just think the data would be useful.
The a6 cold (24 runs old) was about 58.
I have not taken hot duro readings yet. I guess that would be interesting also.
Is there a moderator on the forum that could make a simple spreadsheet & instructions & we could all plug in data?

I will be happy to host it in the downloads section of Hardbarusa.com. Every time someone has new data, I will upload the latest values into it, if someone wants to do the basic Excel sheet. We will need the date, ambient temp, tire temp, tire type, where on the tireand... what else?

date code on tire would be good, number of heat cycles for RR tires, number of runs for Auto-x tires.
I'd be most interested in seeing how the grip falls off relative to number of accumulated runs / heat cycles.

When it's all said and done, I could run a regression analysis on it in order to determine what the tire durometer readings are independent of and what they're the most dependent on...
