Trash talk...I love it
If I can get the brakes done, I'll be there in LilRed. I've given up on deadlines for the track car...
This is a great deal - hardly ever see track time under $200/day - sign up today!

Got the day off from work and just signed up! This will be my first HPDE! I am siked. I have a grin on my face just thinking about it. This will be my first return to Summit Point in over 10 years. Used to go as a kid and camp out with my pops to watch the cars.

I assume you know the basic car prep stuff - pads, fluids and have the pre-event tech sheet.

Yes Sir. Going to swap in some new pads the day before and some high temp brake fluid. I have a kit of stuff im going to bring. Looks like i will be on OEM goodyear eagle F1s though...
Just bring the tech card there correct?
Anyway someone can show me an easy and effective way to mount my fire extinguisher? I keep a small one in the rear of the car but it's not mounted well enough.

Folks,
Don't forget, as per the original post above, vehicles MUST be pre-teched at a qualified shop. Bring the Tech Form (also linked in original post) to the inspection for a list of items to be checked by the technician. If your car has any issues, this is the time to fix them. Then, bring the completed Tech Form to the track day.
We have also scheduled a Pre-Tech Day on Sat. 6/13/09 that satisfies this requirement...see here for complete details.
As always, if you have any questions, send an email to the contact persons listed in the original post.

I have tried contacting 2 people about this coming saturdays pre-tech. My car does not have an extinguisher mounted yet but it will before July 10th. Can i still get pre-teched and they can just make sure it has it on track day or what. I would rather not drive to sterling twice to get my car inspected if i can just knock it out in 1 straight trip. Where or when can i be pre-teched if i don't make this saturdays?

You probably can still get pre-teched Saturday without your extinguisher mounting, they will most likely just make a note of it on your tech sheet, but send an email to firebird@ginch.org to make certain.
If you don't come this Saturday, any shop can do it...it's just that self-techs are not allowed. Curry's Auto Service (many locations in the NoVa area) will perform these techs for free.

Yes i sent him an email. No response. Either way i just drove over to OG Racing and picked up a whole bunch of stuff. So the extinguisher is now mounted in the car.
