Default Stoptech ST-60 BBK C5 vs C6 - whats the diff?

I'm looking into the Stoptech ST-60 BBK for my C5 with the 355mm sloted rotors. According to the Stoptech site, the part number is: 83.180.6700.71

Used I have seen the C6 version of this BBK for sale. It has the part number: 83.187.6700.71

So the only difference is the "180" vs "187".

Does anyone know what this is?

Or, to cut to the chase, will the C6 Z51 BBK fit on the C5 (with 18" wheels of course)

Thanks, Brad

I would think the only difference might be with the brake lines.

Brake lines between C5 and C6 cars are different as the chassis side is using a different flare on the fittings.

C6Z06 kits use a completely different piston stagger as I believe the master cylinders are different on those cars compared to the others.

Other than that, a C5 kit would be the same as a base C6.

Thanks Anthony - I appreciate your input. But this begs another question. In looking at the Stoptech site further, I found that their front BBK for the C6 Z51 and the C6 Z06 has the same part number: 83.187.6700.71.

In light of what you said - why would they have the same part number? Does the C6 Z51 have the same MC as the Z06?

***********EDIT: my bad. After looking at the LG Catalog and then again at the StopTech site I realized I made a mistake in the above post. The ST60 BBK for the C6 Z06 is part number 83.187.6700.xx. While the part number for the C6 Z51 (the one that will also fit the C5) is: 83.186.6700.xx

So it makes sense now - the C6 Z06 has a different MC and thus different front calipers.

I have not sat down to see what master you would need to do so. If I remember correctly everything would go on the car, however you would have a softer pedal due to the larger pistons.
