Default C 4 Fuel Pickup Problem on Track

I know I have seen step by step instructions dealing with C 4 fuel pickup issues. The solution was to gently bend the in tank pick up tube. Can anyone send me a link to that thread?
Thanks

Is this why my C4 with less than 1/2 tank of gas sometimes stumbles in corners?

Yes. I'm tired of it so I'm putting a fuel cell in this winter.

Yes. This could be the source of your problem. Over the years, others have commented about it. When just below a half tank, and I turn left on high G turns, on either a sharp turn or a sweeping turn, I sputter. The problem is temporarily resolved by pulling into the paddock and fueling up. The proper fix is to bend the pick up tube into a different position.

Yes this happens to me on long left sweepers. I wasnt sure what the problem was but adding gas helped. I just figured I shouldnt go below 1/2 or 1/3. I would like to find this fix-it thread also.

The fix-it thread is in this forum. I have tried numerous terms in search, but can't seem to locate it. Give it a try.

My car did the same thing and after I bent the tube I could run until the reserve fuel light came on. The fix works like a charm.

This is the thread. 96CollectorSport had the answer back then, too.
Thanks

The cheapest and easiest thing is to just fill your car up after each session.

Very true. But it looks like I may be working on my fuel pump, so while I'm there, I can easily correct this problem.
(BTW, My tow hook performed admirably last Monday).

The sock should rest on the bottom, check if it does when you go to bend the assembly. Mine won't stutter till I'm into the bottom two bars, reserve light. I don't like to run over 1/2 tank because of all that extra weight. The stock tank is so long, I was thinking of putting fuel cell foam around the pick up spot.

I also have this problem and can't go below 1/2 tank. I tried bending my pickup tube but that hasn't seemed to help much. I saw something that Melrose T-Top had a bolt in 'cage' to hold a fuel cell in the stock location, but I haven't been able to find any information about it.

Could you share that info with us when you find it?

Is there some gas station near you that sells magical, weightless fuel?

Melrose T-Top offers a nice unit that will bolt in where the existing rear bumper was. This is a complete setup including the cell, the mounting bracket / bumper, fuel filter, and all the hoses and fittings for around $1500.
