Default OMP Race seat?

I am looking at race seats with side helmet protection. The OMP
HTE looks good. Also, the Sparco Circuit and Pro ADV.
Anyone using OMP? How do they fit? They have a regular and a GT(wide) model. They are easier to get into than the Pista model and they are HANS compatable.

The Sparco seats seem to be very close in size to the EVO and EVO 2.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
CV

My buddy has an OMP in his race car. I don't know what model (not HANS or anything) or even what year (it's not a new one). I have two Ultrashields in my C4 that are non- hans also. I am looking for HANS seats with side helmet protection also. My buddies OMP's are very nice. They are VERY comfortable also and provide lots of lateral support. I would for sure look into the OMP.

Yeah, they look comfortable and the head support on the new ones looks good. I run on the Phoenix International "Roval". The G force is extreme and my Susuka(Cobra) seat does not hold my upper body as well as I would like. The helmet bolsters on the OMP protect in side impacts, but also offer support for the head. My concern is fitment(and getting in and out) in a C5 because there is not a lot of space. That's why I'm trying to see if anyone else has one in their car.

Hey CV,

I'm going to Pole Position in Scottsdale when they have the OMP in stock to take a look at it too....let me know if you buy one and how it fits in your C5 as I like the idea of full containment and want to change my Sparco Evo2Plus

I'm using the sparco pro adv. Fits me perfectly, I'm 6', 32" waist, 185lbs.

Best bet is to sit in a bunch of them.

i use recaro HANS out of the older CUP car. fits well into C5, I have pfadt sliding mount (useful for roadtrips as I can move the seat out for more legroom). probably will not be comfortable if your waist size is 36+

btw, OMP seats are the ****, if you can afford one and will fit into it, I say go for it.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm around 34" waist, so I'll have to sit in it and see if it works.

Are you using Hardbar mounts or something else?

Cheers,

Hey Wayne.

I talked to Victor and he says they can ship black ones this week. I will probably go for the OMP unless I don't like the fit. Then it's the Sparco Pro ADV.
