DRM AP Racing C6 Z06 Corvette Front and Rear kit
I'm looking for user feedback on this brake kit linked below and pictured.
I have an 08 Z06 that I'd like to install it on. The car is a daily driver and weekend track warrior.
Just posting to see if folks have had it installed (or installed it themselves) and what they think of it and thoughts on the rear bias adjuster. Oh, and also any input on the brake compounds that you use
I hope I'm not asking too much

DRM is a great vendor. I built my C4 using all their hardware and everything was top notch.
I've developed a C5 and when it came time for brakes, i looked at these AP kits and believe they are one of the best available and make a good package. I ended up going to Stoptech based of pad availability, rotor replacement cost and correct piston sizing in the caliper for the specific application...compatible with OEM master cylinder valving. They are very much plug and play and provide the caliper with the correct sized pistons to match the car. Notice that the DRM setup includes a different Master Cylinder.
Now if i were to do it again i would re-think the AP system because i believe it offers larger/thicker pads than the Stoptech. Since my car is dedicated to the track that has become more important to me.

I need to clear a few things up and then let others talk about our kit some more. (there isn't too many forum guys running our setup, because I don't sell it enough on the forums)
The front pads are the same between our kit and the stoptechs. 7793-18mm thick. The rear pads are very cheap compared to the front, 7767 pad shape.
The front rotors are just a tick under 200 bucks each and the rears are a tick under 190.

What are the advantages of the bigger pistons?

To make a long story short.
It increases the pressure applied to the brake pad (clamping force)
It also increase the amount of surface area it's pushing on the backing plate (brake pad) to spread out the piston force.

I have the AP 6/4 kit on my 99 Mallett without the bias adjuster. Never a brake issue so far. I've been to the Autobhan and Road America a few times and usually fresh brake fluid and pads before each event and your good to go with outstanding braking. I think the master cylinder and bias adjuster would only kick it up a notch. For pads I have used Pagid and Ferodo. I am going to try the Performance Friction 01 pads next. It seems that Stillen is where Mallett gets his kits and I've purchased disks and pads from Stillen when I got the car 3 yrs ago. It's good to know that DRM handles AP and is another option for service. If I were to get a brake kit in the future AP would definitly be on the list.
