Default My new seat

Just got it in and set up. Amazing what a difference. Almost like a different car! No soft cushion and you sit so tight you don't move. It's maybe an inch lower so it will get some getting used to. But i can't wait to hit the track with it tuesday.

Got the harness and seat with slider for $275. Can't beat that for a nice track day setup.

whaa... you stole it?

Lots of organizations around here require that the passenger side have the same
setup as the driver's side.

(Does anyone know why?)

That is a pretty good deal. Don't forget to post your thoughts on it after your track day. Do you daily drive your car? Are you leaving it in permanently or just switching out for track days?

AN INCH LOWER??? OK, fess up how did you mount it. Everybody is looking for a way to get a little more head room from aftermarket seats.

I thought i did pretty well .

I hope that is not the case, i saw lots with only a single racing seat last time i was at summit. Maybe because they were in advanced and didn't need an instructor?

I don't daily drive the car, but drive on the weekends. I don't plan on leaving it in, only for track days. I couldn't find a way to mount the stock seat belt retractor so i can only use the race harness with this seat.

I will try to get some kind of measurement but it definitely sits lower. Enough that i had to move the steering wheel down a notch for my hands to be in the right placement from my normal. They are custom brackets is my guess. Look to be at least 1/8" or 3/16" plate. Just by the look i don't think they are factory made. I will snap some pics next time i have it out.
