Off set resolutions
I have been researching wheel bearings, reading the posts, and looking at adds.
While pretty much staying in an OEM frame of mind for right now [ need new one some time this winter], another thought came to mind.
Instead of wheels spacer to adjust for off set issues, why not a “bearing hub spacers”?
Seems an easy part to fabricate, only a couple hours of a machinist time, good bolts, and quality metal.
The template is there, after all?
What technical point am I missing?

you will be moving the rotors outboard, no longer centered in the calipers. The axles would likely be fine.
**edit, you certainly could space the caliper mount to keep the relative distance, but then you would have no benefit of extra wheel clearance. OEM Floating calipers can handle some change in rotor placement, so you might be able to space a bit with no issues.

So .. this thing would be one piece of metal, six holes, and machined for the very small [1/4" +[ difference in the caliber/hub plane.
Having a "free" machinist plays a big part in this idea.
Probably going to make a wood mock up first.
Strength is the worry, weird loading??? But I can't see any difference between this a wheel spaces, except this isn't a rotating mass?
